Serena Ryder's Star Continues to Rise Christine Albrecht
06.03.07 (3:52 pm)   [edit]
Serena performs at the Music Hall in Toronto and Tapes a Live at the Rehearsal Hall Concert at Bravo.

Serena Ryder is bringing her exquisite voice back to Canada after touring non-stop to rave reviews in the US over the last few months. With previous sold-out performances in Toronto, she is back to perform at the Music Hall on Friday, June 8.

Serena has a amazing presence and her three octave range makes her well worth a listen. This is a homecoming show not be missed. She also has shows in Montreal (opening for Keren Ann) at Le National on Tuesday, June 5 and in Kingston at the Ale House on Wednesday, June 6. There will be more Canadian and US dates this summer and fall.

Serena will be joining the company of Feist and Ben Harper (to name a couple), as she tapes her very own Live at the Rehearsal Hall, Bravo!'s Gemini award winning concert series, on Monday, June 4 (airs on Bravo! July 3 at 10 p.m. ET and 1 a.m. ET, and July 7 at 8 p.m. ET).

This is an incredible accomplishment at such a young age. In the meantime, fans should not miss watching Serena on Canada AM airing Tuesday, June 5.

If your Memory Serves You Well, Serena's beautiful album of great covers and original songs, is still holding strong in the Top 100 on the Canadian album charts. The only other Canadian artists that share her longevity are: Nickelback, Nelly Furtado Billy Talent and Three Days Grace.

Her first single, "Good Morning Starshine" was a Top 5 single on AC Radio, while her new self-penned single "Weak In The Knees" is quickly making an impact.
